“Drawing is a natural part of my work process. Drawing is a way for me to think. I problematise and test my ideas by drawing my way through them. It’s a way for me to visualise and identify what I think is interesting. By drawing, I am looking for the language for what I want an image to say.
I often work with a series, or with variations on different themes. Drawing then becomes a way to explore how a series of images could take shape. Because I work figuratively, I have to understand my figures and their contexts. I might start out with a storyboard, with simple stick figures that I move about. To create my images, I often arrange performative situations where live models become co-creators and can act within given frameworks. The visual material is created in a kind of joint effort. Then I continue to build on what arose out of that process.

Felix holds a degree from the Royal Institute of Art (Kungl. Konsthögskolan) in Stockholm (2013). He also studied at the Pernby School of Painting (Pernbys målarskola) in Stockholm.
